Color Your World: 120 Days of Crayola; Sunset Orange

Sun Going Down Over Budapest, Hungary

Sun Going Down Over Budapest, Hungary

I could only find one Orange Sunset in all my pictures, but I like it. This is Budapest, Hungary in the evening light! It is Day 99 in the Crayola Challenge! We’re counting the days down!

Sunset Orange, added to Crayola in 1997, is also known as Panhandle Paintbrush and is the color for Oklahoma in the “State Crayon Collection.”

This post is just one of many in the Color Your World: 120 Days of Crayola Challenge

Check out some of the other 150+ challenge participants, it’s amazing what we have done with the Crayola colors!

Cadet Blue Crayola

Crayola’s Cadet Blue looks to be on the violet side to me. Here is a photo that I took in Budapest, Hungary. I think these lamp posts look like Heart Angels, don’t you? And don’t the lights on the chain look like thuribles that hold the incense in church? I can just see the thuriblers swinging them! The lamp posts are very tall, as you can see, because the hanging plant basket, that is barely in the picture at the bottom, was six feet off the ground. The multi-colored blue sky really shows them off!

Living with Nature

"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature -- the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” ― Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
