Photography 101: Day 14, Swarm
Todays assignment. Swarm: To fly off together in a group, to move in great numbers. I hate swarming! I hate big groups and trying to wedge myself into the melee to get a picture! The road I was traveling on was blocked off. What? What is going on? I might as well get out and take a look see. I wiggled my way into the crowd along the street. “What are we waiting for?” I asked the policeman. “The Tour de France is coming through town,” he replied.
OMG! Where is my camera? Swoosh, swoosh, and they’re here and gone just like that! Two seconds and gone! The Ultimate Swarm! Enjoy!

What an opportunity!
Saralynne, I had been driving all over France and knew the Tour de France was taking place, but not really paying any attention to where they rode. I kept coming upon road blocks and finally ended up stopping because I had no idea where I was, from making all the adjustments to the roadblocks! When I made my way, about a half mile of walking, past the latest roadblock, and inched to the front of the onlookers, I had no idea why they were all looking at an empty blocked off road. When I finally found out, they came rushing past so fast! I had no idea they rode that fast! It was a once in a lifetime experience for me!
Great pic….the Giro d’Italia used to pass right under our apartment…VERY cool to watch….
Wow that is so cool! Do they take the same route every year? Are you making a turkey for Thanksgiving? What do they do in France, do they celebrate the fall in some way?
