Color Your World: 120 Days of Crayola; Mango Tango

The Mango Tango Colored House

The Mango Tango Colored House

The color Mango Tango has been in the Crayola lineup since 2003. The Tango is a dramatic, romantic, partner dance that every woman I know would love to dance to. With the right man of course! The Tango dance is so lively, sexy, and over the top. The word tango is related to the African slave word “Tango” (a drum or dance place)

So for my photo for this week’s challenge we are back in New Orleans. Mango Tango in its glory! I am sure the couple that lives here would dance to the Tango!

This post is just one of many in the Color Your World: 120 Days of Crayola Challenge! Enjoy!

Thank you so much for mentioning me! I think all those colors are having an affect on you! Perhaps you should join the challenge and post music with colors? I liked the Stamitz album and bought it!!!! By the way, parlez vous francais? allemand?

I speak French, German, English and what is spoken in Luxembourg: LΓ«tzebuergesch! Posting about music and colors? Well, there will be one such post in spring and you may even win a bottle of local white wine. There will be a little challenge for blog readers about a piece I like a lot and the instruments used! πŸ˜†

I wondered what was spoken in Luxembourg. Oh a new challenge, you know how I love challenges! I hope it won’t be too hard for music idiots like me!
I am learning a lot about music from you! My last class in “music appreciation” was in the 8th grade. Hated it! I think that the class was held in a hallway at school was no help! We we overcrowded, not enough classrooms! But I want you to know I played the clarinet in high school! Now I wish I knew more! It is the same with the “art appreciation” class. As I got older and traveled, art and music meant more to me.

My sister used to play the clarinet, but she was little motivated to practice. Too bad, it is a winderful instrument. I’ll come back to it in a few weeks in a post about Mozart’s clarinet concerto. 🎢🎢🎢
